KENNETT SQUARE, June 8 – State Rep. Christina Sappey, D-Chester, invites residents of the 158th Legislative District to attend her virtual panel discussion, “Institutionalized Disadvantage: Justice Reform,” at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 10. This event is the fifth in her series of discussions that began last year on institutionalized racism.
“These discussions have provided an opportunity for us to examine our institutions and how systemic racism can impact the delivery of education, health care, law enforcement and justice. These are sensitive, and sometimes difficult, conversations that require an open heart and an open mind. Throughout this series I have been so pleased to see the people of this district express an earnest desire to understand entrenched racism. This is the first step toward meaningful change,” Sappey said.
