Rusnock: Nearly $2 million secured for local community improvement projects

HARRISBURG, Jan. 20 – State Rep. Jacklyn Rusnock announced today that multiple agencies in her Pennsylvania House legislative district received more than $1.9 million in new grant funding from the Commonwealth Financing Authority.

In the 126th District, Rusnock supported state funding for the following projects:

  • $1,250,000 to St. Lawrence for its 2025 Sidewalk Connectivity Project. The funding will be used to install sidewalks along St. Lawrence Avenue and North Prospect Street in St. Lawrence Borough.
  • $350,000 to Muhlenberg Township Authority for the Alsace Road water main replacement project.
  • $249,000 to Laureldale for sewer repairs and rehab work.
  • $144,413 to Lower Alsace Township for Crystal Lake stormwater remediations.

“This funding will deliver on-the-ground improvements to residents of the 126th,” Rusnock said. “From more connected sidewalks to reliable water, sewer and stormwater systems, these grants help tackle long-standing needs. I’m pleased to see these dollars invested locally!”
