House Speaker Mark Rozzi Confirms Upcoming Listening Tour Agenda, Registration Details

Sessions slated for Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Northeastern Pennsylvania

HARRISBURG, Jan. 24 – Speaker of the House Mark Rozzi today announced an agenda and registration information for the first stop of his listening tour taking place at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25, in the Simmons Auditorium at the Carnegie Mellon University Tepper School of Business, 4765 Forbes Ave., Pittsburgh, 15213.

Anyone interested in participating is encouraged to register for a speaking slot on the Listening Tour site. While there may be slots available the day of the event, pre-registrants will have priority.

Pittsburgh Listening Tour Agenda

5:30 p.m. - Doors open. Anyone who did not register online may do so onsite, subject to available slots.

6:00 p.m. - Rozzi delivers opening remarks

6:05 - 7:05 p.m. - Open forum for public comments – 20 people, 3 minutes each

7:05-7:35 p.m. - Interested organizations – 3 groups, each able to speak for up to 10 minutes

7:35 p.m. - Rozzi delivers closing remarks

Speaker Rozzi hopes that meeting directly with the people of Pennsylvania and interested organizations will yield solutions to partisan gridlock and give a path forward for the House to finally provide justice to survivors of childhood sexual abuse.   

The second listening tour session will be held in Philadelphia at 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 27 at St. Joseph’s University, Cardinal John P. Foley Campus Center, 5600 City Ave., 19131. Other event dates, including Northeastern Pennsylvania, will be announced soon.
