You and your child can work with your school’s guidance counselors to think about career interests and opportunities and to plan for life after high school. Here are some great resources for parents and students to get you started:

Work with your school’s guidance counselors to learn more about financing and paying for education after high school. Important resources include:

  • PHEAA provides affordable access to higher education. View PHEAA’s Student Aid Guide and other helpful resources at www.pheaa.org/tools-resources/parents-students for details on the PA State Grant Program and Low-Cost Ways to Pay for College.
  • The US Department of Education’s College Scorecard: https://collegescorecard.ed.gov can help you search and compare colleges and alternative pathways to careers as well as learn about paying for college.
  • PA CareerLink® Student & Young Adult Programs to find out about low or no cost short-term trainings/postsecondary opportunities: www.jobs4lancaster.com/youth
