Eagle near I-80; insurance for kids; my office can help you

Bald eagle’s nest found near I-80

Archaeologists recently discovered what is believed to be a bald eagle nesting along the I-80 corridor. Federal guidelines require a 660-foot buffer around bald eagle nests. You can read more about it here and also watch this WFMZ news story.

PennDOT does not care about the community and project like we do and they haven’t since day one. It’s time for PennDOT to recognize the I-80 project needs to be scaled back. Text Gov. Josh Shapiro and tell him to get him involved too: text him at 717-788-8990.

Every child deserves health care

The Children’s Health Insurance Program provides health insurance for children and teens who need it. It’s not only for families with low incomes — some parents may think their children don’t qualify for CHIP because they earn too much, but that’s not the case.

CHIP covers uninsured kids and teens up to age 19 who are not eligible for Medical Assistance. Apply today: chipcoverspakids.com.

Around the District

Thank you, Saw Creek, for inviting my office to your annual Fall Fest. It was a beautiful event on a perfect fall day and Erin had a great time!

Congratulations to Stroud Area Regional Police Department Detective Chris Shelly who received the annual A. Mitchell Palmer Award, in conjunction with The Monroe County Bar Association. He not only protects our area day in and day out, but he is also a hero. Most recently saving a person in a burning building!

The homecoming parade for Stroudsburg is a beautiful tradition!

What a pleasure celebrating the Brodhead Watershed Association for all they do to keep our water high quality and exceptional value.
