Hearing: Safety & Security in 2026

On Wednesday, August 20, the PA House Majority Policy Committee will convene a hearing to discuss safety and security in 2026 when Philadelphia will welcome visitors from around the globe for major events, including the FIFA World Cup, MLB All-Star game, and America250 celebrations. The hearing, hosted by Rep. Sean Dougherty (D-Phila.), will feature testimony from City officials regarding the plans being put in place to ensure the safety and security of event attendees. The hearing will take place at 10 a.m. at The Villages at Pine Valley Clubhouse, 900 Pine Valley Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19111.
