On Tuesday, April 2, the House Majority Policy Committee will convene a hearing on legislation to address water usage red flags, hosted by Rep. Jeanne McNeill (D-Lehigh). The hearing will focus on Rep. McNeill’s HB 905, which would require municipal authorities or public utility companies to provide notice to utility customers if they determine that a property’s water usage has increased by 50 percent above average for one month.
The hearing will feature testimony from consumers and water authority executives on the impact this bill would have on municipalities. It will begin at 10 a.m. at Lehigh Valley Health Network, 2545 Schoenersville Rd, Bethlehem, PA 18017. It will also be livestreamed here.
