Dear Neighbor,
Election Day is almost here, and it’s important for all voters to make their voices heard! Polls will be open Tuesday, Nov. 3, from 7 AM to 8 PM.
If you need to find your polling place, it’s easy to do by clicking here. Remember: If you vote in person and get in line before 8 PM, stay in line—even after 8 PM—because you can still cast your vote!
If you’re voting by mail, your ballot must be received by the County Elections Office by 8 PM on Election Day. You can either mail your ballot back soon using the provided envelope or return it in person. There are several ballot return sites in Delaware County.

My bill to regulate Flock cameras passes House
|
On a bipartisan vote, the House last week approved my bill to protect drivers’ privacy by regulating the use of automated license plate readers such as Flock cameras by government agencies in PA. House Bill 2771, which is now pending before the Senate, would restrict government agency use of ALPRs only for specific purposes, ban sharing of captured data, and require data to be destroyed in 72 hours if unrelated to an investigation or enforcement matter.

House passes first-ever e-scooter regulations
|
I’m proud to be helping to advance legislation that would establish the state’s first legal framework for electric scooters. House Bill 1633, which passed the House last week and moved to the Senate, would create statewide safety standards for the operation, purchase and individual ownership of e-scooters. It would also allow most cities the option to implement shared e-scooter programs.
Last year, our Delco community endured a horrible tragedy when a 12-year-old girl died after an e-scooter accident, and we want to prevent tragedies like this in every Pennsylvania community. I greatly appreciate partnering with Rep. Emily Kinkead to advance this much-needed public safety bill.

Our fight against a deadly form of breast cancer
|
Last week, I joined relatives of the late actress Marnie Schulenburg, best known for her Emmy-nominated role on “As the World Turns,” to launch our push for “Marnie’s Law.” It would require healthcare providers in PA to be educated about inflammatory breast cancer, the aggressive cancer that killed Marnie in 2022.
I look forward to working with Marnie’s family, including widower Zack Robidas (pictured below), to make “Marnie’s Law” a reality in Pennsylvania. If you’re interested in learning more about “Marnie’s Law” or joining the advocacy group set up in her name, click here: Home - Marnie's Army. You can also watch our launch event at this link.
