HARRISBURG, Dec. 18 – Grant funding of $1.92 million from the statewide Local Share Account will go to support infrastructure and recreational improvements in Lackawanna County, state Rep. Kyle Donahue announced today.
Local Share Account funds are used for projects in the public interest and that improve the quality of life of citizens in the community. Eligible projects must be owned and maintained by an eligible applicant or a nonprofit organization.
“These investments will strengthen our community in meaningful, long-lasting ways,” said Donahue. “By improving local infrastructure and expanding recreational opportunities, we’re helping to ensure that Lackawanna County remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family, while also supporting economic growth and quality of life for residents across the region. I am thankful to my colleagues, Rep. Bridget Kosierowski, Senator Marty Flynn and Senator Rosemary Brown for their help in acquiring this funding for our community.”
