Probst acquires $2.57 million for community projects
Rep. Tarah Probst May 20, 2025
HARRISBURG, May 20 – State Rep. Tarah Probst worked with local and state officials to secure $2.57 million in state grants that were awarded today by the Commonwealth Financing Authority.
“I enjoy helping municipal officials work through the state grant process because, in the end, I know that every dollar acquired from the state level is one less dollar that needs to come out of a local budget, thus saving local taxpayers money,” said Probst, D-Monroe/Pike.
Probst said today’s grants were awarded through the Local Share Account, which is made possible by revenue at Pennsylvania’s casinos. The funding may be used for economic and community development and other public interest projects within host and contiguous counties where casinos are located.
