McNeill, Miller’s annual senior fair and veterans’ expo a success

WHITEHALL, May 2 – In their commitment to ensure that their community is knowledgeable about what state programs are available to them, state Rep. Jeanne McNeill and state Sen. Nick Miller hosted a senior fair and veterans’ expo today.

“An essential part of my job as a servant to my community is to ensure that I am providing the community knowledge about what state services and government programs can help them live a better life,” said McNeill. “There are so many programs that it can be overwhelming. My annual senior fair does a great job at organizing programs so that those who attend know where to go for what they need. Additionally, it allows me to connect with those I represent, so I can best represent them in Harrisburg.”

"We experienced an incredible turnout at our third annual Seniors & Veterans Expo, underscoring the importance of educating residents about the community resources available to them,” stated Miller. “I would like to extend my gratitude to Representative McNeill for collaborating on this event. I am also grateful to our seniors and veterans who took time out of their day to speak with me directly and share their insights. I value these events and the opportunity to engage directly with constituents, as they help us craft legislative ideas to address the needs of the community. My office and I remain committed to providing support to all who need it."

McNeill noted that the senior fair was a great place to learn more about state programs. However, if residents in the community were not able to attend, then her district office is a great place to go to learn more about the programs and get help in applying for them.
