Will enhance safety, accessibility, and mobility on Edison Ave.
Rep. Robert Merski August 17, 2026 | 3:16 PM
ERIE, Aug. 17 – Safer, more walkable streets are coming to Wesleyville Borough thanks to $605,720 in Multimodal Transportation Fund support announced today by state Reps. Bob Merski and Pat Harkins, both D-Erie.
The funding will support reconstruction and pedestrian improvements on Edison Avenue.
“This project is about making Edison Avenue work better for everyone,” Merski said. “With reconstruction and pedestrian improvements, we’re addressing core needs along this key corridor.”
“This is a practical investment in a corridor residents rely on every day,” Harkins said. “This funding lets us proceed with infrastructure enhancements that benefit the community.”
The grant was awarded through the Multimodal Transportation Fund, which provides grants to encourage economic development and ensure that a safe and reliable system of transportation is available to the residents of the commonwealth.
