I want to share with you some valuable information on state programs and services and exciting updates from around the district. My staff and I are available to assist you with your concerns and access to state-related programs and services at my Whitehall office, located at 1080 Schadt Ave., so please stop by or call 610-266-1273.

The Governor’s Advisory Commission on Women is gathering input from women across PA via a new digital survey as part of the Shapiro Administration's forthcoming State of the Woman Report, a comprehensive, data-driven effort to assess the status of women across Pennsylvania. The survey will collect insight from PA women on their experiences and priorities to better inform the Administration’s policies that impact women.

The report will build on PA’s inaugural 1966 Report on the Status of Women and the most recent report from 2004, examining the progress women have made over the last 60 years and identifying the gaps that still exist. The report will combine historical analysis, current data, and firsthand experiences from women in rural, suburban, and urban communities to provide a comprehensive picture of the status of women.

The Department of Revenue has launched a new Fast File program to offer a free and quick way for select Pennsylvanians to file their PA Personal Income Tax Return [PA-40]. Fast File provides a streamlined online option for taxpayers with a simple PA return, helping them meet their tax obligations while avoiding the cost of other tax-filing services. You can now apply for a cash rebate for property taxes or rent that you've already paid, up to $1,000. Contact my office today to check eligibility. Income eligibility for the program now adjusts annually, so you may be eligible even if you were not in the past.

The Pennsylvania Solar Center is a great nonprofit organization that has assisted more than 60 schools across the state to explore solar and has helped 30 of them apply for last year’s Solar for Schools grant. They are now accepting applications for a second time. Learn more.

The Pennsylvania State Police is now accepting applications for its 2026 Law and Leadership Academy. This free program is for those 18 years or older who have graduated from high school or earned their GED and are interested in a career in law enforcement.

I was honored to be appointed to the Lehigh Northampton Airport Authority. I look forward to working with my fellow board members to ensure the airport operates safely and efficiently, while continuing its growth and community benefits for those who live here.
