Acquiring a speed monitor for Whitehall

When a resident in Whitehall Township reached out to me with his and his neighbors’ concerns about the large number of cars speeding on Lehigh Street, I reached out to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) about putting up a radar speed monitor.

Joe Marx, the Mayor of Whitehall, teamed with local PennDOT engineers to make it happen. The radar monitor is now in position and operating, all in less than two weeks!

Please SLOW DOWN. Especially in our neighborhoods. And as always, please watch for pedestrians.
