McClinton announces more than $1.4 million for Delco infrastructure projects

YEADON, Jan. 27 – State House Speaker Joanna McClinton (D-Phila./Delaware) is praising three grants totaling more than $1.4 million that were recently awarded to infrastructure projects in Delaware County.

“These projects will make communities in Delaware County cleaner, safer, and more welcoming for families, workers, and visitors,” McClinton said. “Connecting local projects with state funding is a key part of my work, and directing dollars to initiatives that enhance the quality of life for my neighbors benefits everyone.”

The three projects selected for state funding are:

  • $250,000 for Darnell Avenue Storm Sewer improvements.
  • $500,000 for Bullock Avenue Sanitary Sewer Improvements.
  • $665,000 for Yeadon for transportation improvements at the intersections of Church Lane and Whitbey Avenue and Church Lane and Guenther Avenue.

All three projects received funding from the Commonwealth Financing Authority. The Darnell and Bullock projects were supported through the PA Small Water and Sewer Program, while Yeadon’s project was funded by the Multimodal Transportation Fund, which provides resources for initiatives that promote economic development and invest in safe, reliable transportation systems.

The CFA manages state funding for projects that benefit communities across Pennsylvania.
