Community Expungement Clinic

Delaware County Health Department and Jefferson Health Mammogram Screening

The Delaware County Health Department is partnering with Jefferson Health System to sponsor a mobile mammogram screening event on Friday, Aug. 1, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Wellness Center in Chester, 151 W. 5th Street, Chester.  

A certified mammography technologist from Jefferson Health will perform each mammogram and timely screening results will be provided to each patient.

Health insurance is NOT required and patients with health insurance should bring a prescription from their primary physician/OBGYN for this service. For more information contact the DCHD Wellness Line at 484-276-2100 or DelcoWellness@co.delaware.pa.us.

Sun Bucks

This year, Pennsylvania is introducing SUNbucks, a new grocery benefits program that provides households with a one-time payment of $120 for each eligible child to buy food while school is out.

Children who applied and were approved for free/reduced-price school meals or who receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance (SNAP) and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) benefits are automatically eligible for SUN bucks. Those who are not a part of these programs can still apply. For more information visit pa.gov.

Back to School Fair Donation Drive

The Delaware County Health Department is hosting its 2^nd annual Back to School Donation Drive until August 8. This drive helps families in need of assistance with school supply expenses. There are various drop off locations including the Delaware County Government Center, several Franklin Mint Credit Union locations, area YMCAs, and many of our Delaware County libraries.
