Working for you at home & in Harrisburg! + My offices will be closing early on July 3 and closed on July 4!

This week in Harrisburg!

This week, my House colleagues and I passed important bills that will help our neighbors and improve our communities! We’re restoring dental coverage within the Medical Assistance program, trashing junk fees, ending tax on tips and addressing the childcare worker and teacher shortage.

I met with neighbors from across the state including educators from the William Penn School District, the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers, Casa de Venezuela and Mayor Parker! As we approach the budget deadline, we are working hard with our colleagues across the aisle and chamber!

July 3rd and 4th office closure

In observance of Independence Day, our office will be closing at noon on Thursday, July 3 and closed on Friday, July 4. We will resume normal business hours Monday, July 7.

Cobbs Creek Art Club

Join the Cobbs Creek Community Environmental Center (700 Cobbs Creek Parkway [63rd and Catherine St]) every other Wednesday starting on June 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for the Cobbs Creek Art Club. This is a free art class for all ages and snacks are provided.

The FAFSA deadline is MONDAY, June 30!

The deadline for the FAFSA for the 2025/26 school year is in a few days. Even if you don't think you will qualify for federal aid, the FAFSA form is used by PHEAA and often the college you are planning to attend to determine additional aid or grants that may be available to you.
