Apply for the Property Tax/Rent Rebate!

The Property Tax Rent Rebate program is open!

The rebate program benefits eligible Pennsylvanians 65 or older; widows and widowers 50 or older; and people with disabilities 18 or older.

This year, eligible applicants will receive a one-time bonus Property Tax/Rent Rebate payment, which is 70% of the original rebate amount for every claimant who’s been approved for a rebate on rent or property taxes paid in 2024.

Applications can be filed online at mypath.pa.gov.

James R. Roebuck Pennsylvania Legislative Black Caucus Foundation Scholarship

The James R. Roebuck PLBC is now accepting applications.

Successful applicants will receive a $1,500 scholarship made possible by the Pennsylvania Legislative Black Caucus Foundation for educational purposes. Students are encouraged to use the scholarship award for tuition, fees, books, or school-related supplies and equipment.

Applicants must be a resident of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, person of color and graduating high school senior or current undergraduate college student

The deadline to apply is 5pm on Saturday, April 5, 2025. Incomplete applications will not be evaluated.

 

National Council of Negro Women, Inc Philadelphia Section

The Philadelphia Section of the National Council of Negro Women, Inc. has opened the application period for their 2025 Scholarship.

ALL high school seniors who are residents of Philadelphia County with a 3.0 GPA or higher and leaders in their community to apply.

The PA House Fellowship is Open!

The Pennsylvania House of Representatives Legislative Fellowship Program is currently accepting applications for the Summer 2025 semester. Applications are due on March 1.

Qualified applicants will be:

  1. College undergraduate juniors or seniors, graduate students, or law school students.
  2. Enrolled in a Pennsylvania college or university, or a Pennsylvania resident enrolled in an out-of-state institution; and
  3. Pursuing any major with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

The PA House Scholarship is Open!

High school seniors who will be attending a PA college or university in the fall have until April 15 to apply for the PA House of Representatives Scholarship.

Two scholarships are awarded each year. The award can be used towards the cost of tuition and fees for a four-year program at a college, university, or career school in Pennsylvania. Half of each annual award will be paid in the fall semester, and half in the spring semester. Students must maintain eligibility criteria in all four years to receive ongoing awards.
