Susquehanna Community Music Fest to celebrate local artists

Philadelphia, Oct. 1 – This weekend local entertainers and artists will be out for the Susquehanna Community & Music October Fest starting at 2 p.m. Saturday on the 1500 – 1700 block of West Susquehanna Avenue.
Hosted by state Rep. Keith Harris, the free event’s line-up includes a variety of musical acts including R&B, jazz, blues and soul. The celebration will run through 7 p.m. Saturday. Performers include Pamela Renee Smith; M. Murphy & DJ Jazz; The Royal Diamond Divas; the award-winning duo SHAISKAI and many more. Harris and his staff, along with other vendors and government services, will be on hand to answer questions or help with state programs and services.
“This event is going to be a wonderful celebration of our local community and the people who make it special,” Harris said. “I want to invite everyone to stop by and enjoy themselves and help us celebrate our community. We’ll have vendors, good weather and a great day – I hope to see you there!”
