Rep. Hanbidge to collaborate with Mission Kids Child Advocacy Center for a Family Online Safety Night Event on Aug. 2

AMBLER, Aug. 20 – State Rep Liz Hanbidge, D-Montgomery, is hosting the Protect and Play: Family Online Safety Night in collaboration with Mission Kids Child Advocacy Center, for children and parents/caregivers.

The event, held at the Ambler Area YMCA from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 27, will host workshops for both kids and parents, with a focus on staying safe online and offline.

The first workshop will teach parents and caregivers how to talk about sensitive topics like boundaries, personal safety, and navigating today’s digital world.

The second workshop will teach children how to stay safe online, raise awareness of online risks, and empower kids to make safer choices both online and offline.

All children under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian on the premises. Registration is required for this event, which can be found at https://missionkidscac.org/education-prevention/family-online-safety-night/
