Curry announces more than $32,600 in grants for local fire companies

UPPER DARBY, Feb. 11 – State Rep. Gina H. Curry, D-Delaware, announced today that two local fire companies have received grant funding from the Office of the State Fire Commissioner.

The funds can be used for facility improvement, equipment, debt reduction, training, and more.

The following local fire services were awarded grants:

  • Highland Park Fire Co. - $16,322.02 for fire services.
  • Upper Darby Fire Co. No. 1 - $16,322.02 for fire services. 

“I am pleased that the Shapiro administration is continuing to support our first responders,” Curry said. “This funding will go towards helping our fire companies with their greatest needs. I am committed to getting our local departments the funding they need to provide the best services.”
