Hello Neighbors, Community Members and Friends,
Our office was horrified to hear about the senseless assassination of Minnesota State Representative and Democratic Leader Melissa Hortman, the murder of her husband, and the further gun violence against Minnesota State Senator John Hoffman and his wife this past Saturday. Their deaths and their suffering have weighed on our hearts and minds all week.
This kind of violence grows from seeds of hate, misinformation, and a host of social issues that leave people feeling that there is no other way to accomplish their goals. But violence is never the answer, in politics or anywhere else.
My team and I are grateful for the law enforcement agencies at home and in Harrisburg who strive to keep us safe while we work for you, and for the swift reaction of Minnesota’s law enforcement agencies in apprehending the alleged gunman. We have the victims and their families in our prayers.

PA MOMNIBUS Day was a Huge Success!
We had a great turnout of supporters and advocates for all of our MOMNIBUS Day events on Monday, and I can’t thank everyone who came enough for their dedication to improving Black maternal mortality and morbidity in Pennsylvania. Our legislative package won’t solve every problem birthing mothers face, but it will set us on the path toward better support, better medical care, and greater awareness of the disparities faced by Black and brown mothers during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I’m looking forward to seeing our bills come up for vote in the House as we continue through this legislative session.
Check out our photos and videos from the event below!

Support Funding for Public Transit? Tell Your Senators Now.
This week, the House passed House Bill 1364, a proposal to fund mass transit systems and transportation projects across the commonwealth. Mass transit in Pennsylvania is facing a critical funding crisis that will have negative impacts in every region across our state – including right here in Delaware County. That’s why I voted to make sure everyone is able to get to where they need to go safely and efficiently.
Even if you don’t ride public transit, transit affects you – funding transit means more money in our communities, more people on the job, and safer commutes for everyone. Join me and demand action from the PA Senate to fund mass transit across Pennsylvania!

$150,000 to Expand the Rose Tree Park Police Memorial
Last week the Delaware County Legislative Delegation presented a $150,000 check to expand the Police Memorial at Rose Tree Park. The grant will ensure the memorial continues to honor local law enforcement for years to come. The Declo Delegation thanks all those who serve and protect our communities.

Honoring the Red, White, and Blue
Last Friday I joined some of my fellow Delco Delegation legislators, community leaders, and community members at a Flag Day Ceremony at the Delaware County Veterans Memorial. Flag Day honors the adoption of the American Flag on June 14, 1777. At this ceremony, officials announced the 2025 Freedom Medal Honorees and the Delaware County Veterans Memorial Association’s President’s Award. Thank you all for your exceptional service and dedication to our country. The honor is well-deserved.

Celebrating Pride at the Annual Delco Pride Festival
Saturday was the Delco Pride Festival in Upper Darby, where my staff and I had the opportunity to host a table with helpful resources and meet many constituents throughout the day. Despite the rain, it was a moving festival showcasing the diversity and community of Delaware County/ I’m proud to live here and to represent all of you in Harrisburg.
