Over 1,200 projects receive funding through gaming revenue
Rep. Morgan B. Cephas September 17, 2026 | 12:17 PM
HARRISBURG, Sept. 17 – The Philadelphia House Delegation announced that more than 1,200 grants totaling over $43 million have been awarded to projects across the city this week through Pennsylvania’s Local Share Account program.
Included in the awards are two projects of citywide significance:
“Working to improve quality of life and the public good is our priority as legislators. These LSA awards are a perfect example of how we can be intentional about directing state funds for the benefit of specific communities and neighborhoods,” said state Rep. Morgan Cephas, D-Phila., who serves as the chairwoman of the Philadelphia House Delegation.
“I’m happy that citywide efforts received significant support. The upgrades to the emergency alert system at WHYY will serve our entire region in urgent situations. The Register of Wills provides valuable services for our residents, but folks often can’t make it to the Center City office in a timely manner, so a mobile services van is something that should benefit every community across the city.”
In total, 1,216 LSA awards were granted across every legislative district in Philadelphia County.
The Commonwealth Financing Authority distributes Pennsylvania gaming revenue through the LSA program for qualified projects in the public interest. For more information on the LSA program, visit: dced.pa.gov/programs/local-share-account-lsa-statewide.
