Rep. Frank Burns August 17, 2026 | 3:57 PM
JOHNSTOWN, Aug. 17 — Rep. Frank Burns, D-Cambria, today announced a new state grant of $664,679 for sidewalk improvements along Clinton Street and the Gautier Steel facility.
Gautier Steel received the funding from the state’s Multimodal Transportation Fund (MTF). The sidewalk renovation is one of 50 transportation-related projects in 27 counties awarded grant money from the fund today.
“I’m constantly advocating for Cambria County to get its fair share of state funding,” Burns said. “Believe me—if this money weren’t coming home, it would go somewhere else. I’m glad to see this money going toward needed sidewalk improvements right here in our district.”
