Burns announces annual holiday toy drive

Collecting unwrapped toys through Dec. 5

JOHNSTOWN, Nov. 17  To help give economically disadvantaged children in Cambria County a merry Christmas, state Rep. Frank Burns, D-Cambria, is once again partnering with the Toys for Tots Program to collect holiday gifts.

Burns’ office is accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys at either of his district offices through Dec. 5. Burns’ Johnstown office is located at 535 Fairfield Ave. (Lower Yoder Township), and his Ebensburg office is located at 123 W. High St

“Today more than ever, the mission of bringing hope and joy to all kids at Christmas is an important one,” Burns said. “This mission began after World War II when the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve started Toys for Tots, and today’s high prices and tight budgets mean we need to do what we can to continue it. If you are able, please consider bringing new, unwrapped toys to either of my local offices.”
