Burns invites veterans to free appreciation meal

Nov. 8 lunch thanks veterans and offers help with services

HARRISBURG, Oct. 27 — As his way of thanking veterans for their valuable service to the United States, state Rep. Frank Burns, D-Cambria, is once again hosting a free Veterans Appreciation Meal on Saturday, Nov. 8.

The spaghetti lunch will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Jackson Township Fire Hall, 176 Adams Ave., Mineral Point.

Veterans should RSVP by Nov. 3 by calling either of Burns’ district offices at 814-536-8400 or 814-472-8021.

In addition to lunch, veterans can connect with Burns and his staff to learn more about state services available to veterans.

Proof of service is required. The lunch is free to veterans, and guests can join for a $5 donation.
