A recent study found that those who slept fewer than 6 hours per night were 27% more likely to have artery clogs throughout the body than those who slept 7-8 hours a night. Participants with broken sleep were 34% more likely to have plaque buildup than those who slept well. According to the National Sleep Foundation, as little as 10 minutes a day of walking, biking or other aerobic exercise can "drastically improve nighttime sleep quality."
